Newly formed alliance gives CPA firms a competitive edge.
New York, NY - (November 10, 1999) Sterling National Bank a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sterling Bancorp (NYSE: STL) and the National Network of Accountants (NNA) of Woodbury, NY, announced the formation of a strategic alliance between NNA and Sterling Business Network Group. The alliance is aimed at providing CPAs with the added resources of the Sterling Business Network Group. The Group’s consultative approach provides clients an array of creative banking products with an exceptional degree of personal attention and seamless delivery that so many small and medium size businesses are no longer getting from their banks.
The NNA provides accountants with unique training including financial planning, marketing, and networking opportunities. The NNA’s programs include techniques for CPA firms to integrate financial planning services into their practices, and methods for CPA firms to develop business. Members of the NNA have access to continuing education seminars for CPE credits, professional practice advisories and personalized, professional support services. "We are looking forward to working with Sterling National Bank," said NNA president Brian Mackey. "Our members are eager to increase their business, and knowing that they have access to experts in the fields of banking and lending will better equip them to advise their clients in financial planning."
The National Network of Accountants searched for a bank to become a member of its growing Preferred Provider Network. A bank that would be committed to providing members with personal service, and one with a track record of working with CPAs to grow their firms. "Sterling National Bank not only met our requirements, but exceeded them," said Mackey. Sterling National Bank is a leader in personal service and in assisting financial professionals, including CPAs, network and grow their businesses. Sterling’s Business Network Group has the same objectives that we have at the National Network of Accountants. It was clear that "Sterling National Bank is the right bank for the NNA and our members," added Mackey.
